My name is Marissa. I’ve been doing art since I was a little girl. My earliest memory of art is I remember sitting on my uncle’s knee as a toddler while he drew little raspberry men with a ballpoint pen, and I would ask him for more and more and more of them. They were silly little raspberries with faces and arms and legs, but I was fascinated by them!

As a child in school, I was always drawing and doodling in my notebooks, or coloring and painting in art class. I was always one of the best artists in my class, winning awards for my art projects. It was always a part of my life, but always as a hobby. I was never formally educated in art, but I have spent some time informally training my skills.

Today, I’m a Granny. I have three children and seven grandbabes. One of my favorite things is painting with all my besties! I try to teach them, but they inspire me every time.

I’ve started this site to sell some pieces because there’s only so much art my walls can hold. All of my art is original, although, I do enjoy studies of some of the great artists, so you may see some that look familiar to a Van Gogh, or a Vermeer, or a Picasso, or a Sargent, or another of the great artists of the past. I haven’t yet mastered any of their styles, but I do enjoy the attempts.
